Jon Jordan UK Contact Point, INTERREG IIIB North Sea Programme Jon Jordan works with the International Secretariat to promote the development of UK INTERREG IIIB projects (North Sea Programme) to meet regional and territorial planning priorities and Communities Plan objectives, assist with partner search for UK projects and Programme promotional activities. Jon has 14 years experience working in the EU policy area. In 1989, he became Principal European Officer for Central Regional Council in Scotland. In 1993, he joined the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) as Director of their Brussels Office. In 1996, he returned to COSLAs Head Office in Edinburgh as senior officer working on European policy issues. |

Michael Sanders - UK Contact Point, INTERREG IIIIB - North West Europe Programme Michael Sanders works with the International Secretariat to promote the development of UK INTERREG IIIB projects (North West Europe Programme), to meet regional and territorial planning priorities and Communities Plan objectives, assist with partner search for UK projects and Programme promotional activities. He is a chartered town planner, with over twenty years experience of planning and economic development in metropolitan and new town authorities, and working on European and international projects. Michael was chief executive of Warrington Borough Council from 1989 till 1997. |
| Paula MacLachlan UK Contact Point Project Development for the Atlantic Area Paula MacLachlan works with the International Secretariat to promote the development of UK INTERREG projects (Atlantic Area), to meet regional and territorial planning priorities and Communities Plan objectives, assist with partner search for UK projects and Programme promotional activities. Paula is seconded to ODPM from South Gloucestershire Council, where she was European & International Policy Officer, developing policy and strategy, working in regional partnerships and developing projects for funding. During a brief spell at the South West RDA, her work included liaison with Government Office on strategic coordination of regional INTERREG activity in SW England. Previously, she was in charge of Overseas Links at Leicester City Council. Prior to that she spent nearly 10 years professionally in the voluntary sector, organising international exchanges with social and environmental projects. Paula is a linguist by background. As well as qualifications in Management, she has trained in International Relations, Youth Work and Counselling. |
